Nadine André – An Evening At The Grand Piano – Fundraising Concert

Thursday 12th September, 7:30pm

Following her performance of The Musician’s Guide To A Happy Marriage at The Horton last year, concert pianist Nadine André returns with a solo concert in aid of The Horton’s 88 Key Piano fundraising campaign.

Programme will include:

  • Keyboard Sonatas by Scarlatti
  • Clair de Lune by Debussy
  • Preludes from op.23 and op.32 by Rachmaninoff
  • Rhapsody no.2 and Romanzefrom op.118 by Brahms

All ticket sales for this performance have been generously donated by Nadine to support The Horton’s 88 Keys campaign. The Horton is raising funds to buy the baby grand piano currently on loan. Nadine André – Musician
Nadine has been playing the piano since 1987 having studied with Judith Burton from 1990-2000. In 1999 Nadine reached the Regional Finals of BBC Young Musician of the Year and won the North London National Competition representing Coulsden and Purley. The following year she received a scholarship to study at the Royal Northern College of Music under Kathryn Stott and Carole Presland and graduated with a BMus (hons) and Master of Music in performance in 2005.

Nadine has given solo recitals at St. James’s Piccadilly, Steinway Hall London, and the Irish Embassy to the Holy See in Rome. Today, Nadine continues to perform as a soloist, chamber musician and part of the duo ‘It Had To Be Two’ with her husband, jazz drummer Paul Cavaciuti, both of whom are resident musicians at the annual Burton Bradstock Music & Arts Festival in Dorset.
