Hebe for The Horton

As the opening of The Horton Gardens approaches, we want to plant shrubs to add a welcoming bright green splash of foliage in a row of planters, along our main entrance pathway.

We have chosen Hebe Wiri Mist variety as it is drought resistant, hardy to -10 degrees with masses of white flowers appearing from late spring into summer.

You can help The Horton to make an entrance by making a donation.
We are aiming to raise £600 for plants and compost in the next four weeks.
£50 will fund the purchase of an established Hebe plant with compost.

In acknowledgement of support, people making a donation of £50 will be able to add a public name dedication on a special slate label on one of the planters – lasting the rest of the year.

We will buy the Hebe from our friends at The Old Moat Garden Centre – so you will be helping two local charities in one donation.

If we are able to raise more than £600, we will also be able to buy English lavender, ferns and other plants for the large troughs in our car park.

It takes a lot of work to keep our gardens looking good and the equipment to maintain it, so no matter what size the donation, every contribution makes a real difference to us.

How to donate

Click on this link to our CAF Donate page.
People donating £50 will receive a special name dedication on the plant.

In order to create a slate dedication, we will need permission to able to contact you, so remember to check ‘yes’ for the box asking: ‘We would like to send you news about our work, fundraising activities and ways to get involved. Would you like to receive updates from us?’

We look forward to seeing you in The Horton Gardens from the end of July.
