The Eclectics Art Exhibition

14th Oct – 24th Oct 2026,

Tuesday to Saturday 9.15am to 4.00pm

Enjoy an exhibition of works by experimental mixed media artist Rue Stanley and eight local talents.

The group will be selling affordable art originals, prints and gifts with prices starting from £5.

Meet new artists every day. This is your chance to ask them about their working practices, inspirations and what keeps them motivated to create.

Rue Stanley. This Surrey-based artist, known for her surreal and quirky acrylic mixed media creations, has curated the exhibition, bringing together an eclectic mix of artistic styles and perspectives. Stanley’s work merges various media – drawing inspiration from dreams, nature, and humour. Rue will be at The Horton every day.

Joining Stanley are eight popular local artists, each bringing their own distinctive styles to the exhibition:

  • Lynn Toulson creates inspiring portraits and contemporary local landscapes.
  • Dale Sheen  pen & ink artist specialising in detailed fantasy works.
  • Judit Matthews an award-winning local illustrator. Well known in Surrey.
  • Laurence Berle a talented photographer specialising in beautiful wildlife.
  • John Lucking specialises in beautifully executed pieces that explore landscape-cityscapes and the countryside.
  • Sue Sheen a contemporary abstract artist whose vibrant and evocative pieces explore the depths of colour, form, and emotion.
  • Sophie Knight-Crow a talented local artist working in mixed media.
  • Kate Berry creates sensitive figurative work in a variety of media.

“This exhibition brings together a diverse group of Surrey artists.” says Rue Stanley. “This is a superb opportunity to support local artists by purchasing art directly from the artists.”

All work purchased during the exhibition can be taken home immediately.
