Spanish Serenade is a celebration of classical music in which dance and song play a prominent role including works by Albéniz, Giménez, Bizet and de Falla.
The concert offers the rare opportunity to experience authentic bolero dance (old Spanish ballet style from the 18th and 19th centuries) as well as other traditional rhythms including polo, farruca, zapateado or seguidilla, accompanied by the complex technique of tapping and castanets.
Other pieces include Spanish songs by French, Italian and Russian composers, as well as extraordinary works by the composer and virtuoso violinist Sarasate in a rare instrumental and dance version.
Piano: Jose Vicente Riquelme
Mezzosoprano: Jennifer Ramirez
Violin: Rezart Kapetani
Dance: Fran Serrano | Anael Orozco | Cristina Cazorla
