The Waldegrave Ensemble brings together some of the finest chamber players from the South of England for an intimate evening of music by candlelight for flute, clarinet, harp and string quartet, performed in the stunning historic setting of The Horton’s Performance Space.
The programme features a rare, intoxicating combination of bass clarinet and string quartet with York Bowen’s vivid and haunting Phantasy quintet, paired with Debussy’s ethereal sonata for flute, viola and harp.
The string quartet will also be performing Haydn’s 5th String Quartet before bringing everyone together to perform Ravel’s stunning and mesmerising Introduction and Allegro.
These professional musicians play together regularly in some of London’s top orchestras including the City of London Sinfonia and the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields. The concert promises to be an exciting performance not to be missed.
