Mindworks Surrey Presents
My Voice Matters Exhibition
Tuesday 27th August – Friday 6th September
This is the second Art Exhibition that Surrey and Borders NHS have hosted at The Horton, showcasing the amazing artwork of children and young people that they support.
This years’ theme is “My Voice Matters”, in line with this year’s Children’s Mental Health Week theme. Artwork was created by both young people and their parents/carers and staff. Colleagues from the User Voice Participation Team joined and contributed with some of their own wonderful creations.
New Leaf and STARS provide specialist mental health services for children in Surrey. They offer trauma and attachment therapy to children in care, care leavers, adopted children and those subject to Special Guardianship Orders and children who have suffered sexual trauma. The service is delivered by Mindworks Surrey.
The exhibition is an opportunity to celebrate the talents of the children, young people, parents and carers and to support them in using art to tell us how their voices matter. Last year’s exhibition received the most incredible feedback from young people, their carers and families, as well as the members of the local community who visited.
