‘What is Art?’ Exhibition

Tuesday 7th November – Saturday 11th October

Exhibition open Tuesday to Saturday, 9:15am – 4:30pm

An annual celebration of creativity, showcasing the work of talented young artists from local primary and secondary schools. As a borough, we are proud to raise the profile of Art and to continue inspiring the next generation of artists.

This year’s theme, ‘What is Art?’, invited students to explore personal, cultural, and philosophical perspectives on the meaning of art. The exhibition reflects a diverse and thought-provoking response to this theme, with work created in a wide variety of mediums.

We celebrate not just the final pieces, but the creative journey each student has undertaken. The process of making art is at the heart of this festival, and we are proud to highlight the imagination, resilience, and effort of every child.

All works on display are original, one-of-a-kind pieces created by students aged 5 to 18.
