Understanding Minds
Wednesday 22nd October & Wednesday 5th November, 12pm – 2pm
Join us for a practical and supportive workshop designed for parents, grandparents and carers of neurodivergent children.
Run by Sam Maskell, mother to two neurodivergent children, this workshop will give you clear, everyday strategies to strengthen relationships, build confidence, and create calmer, supportive environments.
Sam Maskell – Primary Tutor, Home Educator and Neurodivergent Advocate:
“I am a dedicated educator with over 21 years of experience as a primary school teacher, now specialising in tutoring primary maths and English and leading daytime home education groups for children. My passion lies in creating engaging, supportive learning environments where every child can grow in confidence and reach their potential. As both a teacher and a neurodivergent advocate, I strongly believe in celebrating individuality and ensuring that children and their families feel valued, understood, and empowered. I believe that connection comes first — when we truly understand, we can support every child to thrive. Together, we’ll explore what neurodiversity means, share tools that work in real life, and foster stronger connections between children and the people who care for them most. Because when we connect, we understand — and with understanding, every mind can flourish.”
Workshops can be attended separately, but attending both is recommended for maximum benefit.
