Julian Pooley, Public Services and Engagement Manager of Surrey History Centre and Jeremy Harte, Curator of Bourne Hall Museum retell their dramatic personal account of rescuing the irreplaceable documentary archives from the jaws of the bulldozers and burnt-out buildings, as Epsom’s asylum complex was demolished for redevelopment.
The talk will be followed by a Q&A session to find out more about the fascinating history of Horton Hospital and the four other institutions that formed the Epsom Hospital Cluster.
