Rewind
By Ephemeral Ensemble
Wednesday 17th April, 8pm
Experience an incredibly moving and creative performance bringing to life one of the many people who have disappeared, following political protests in Latin America.
REWIND invites you to witness the investigation of a crime. In a whirlwind of visceral live music, energetic movement, puppetry, projection and and innovative lighting, the show reveals an intimate backward journey into the life and death of Alicia, a young woman who dared to resist against authoritarianism.
The multi-award winning show is inspired by the science behind Forensic Anthropology, the first science in history to investigate human rights violations, with fact-based stories of resistance, to create an emotional and atmospheric experience.
★★★★ “Powerful” The Reviews Hub
REWIND is inspired by testimonies of refugees whose lives were affected by dictatorship in 70s in Latin America and young adult migrants whose lives have been affected by human rights abuse in Latin America in 2019-2021. Internationally-acclaimed REWIND remembers those who endured, and those who continue to live under authoritarianism. Ephemeral Ensemble performed Rewind on a tour of Latin America in 2022, with a UK premiere at Edinburgh Fringe in 2023.
