Pottery Planter Workshop

Saturday 18th October, 10.30am- 3pm

Create and decorate your own ceramic planter.

Get your hands dirty and your creativity flowing in this fun and relaxing pottery workshop. In this hands-on session, you’ll learn how to create your very own ceramic planter using the slab building technique – a versatile hand building method perfect for beginners and experienced potters alike.

Once your planter takes shape, you’ll move onto the creative part: decorating. Personalize your piece
using a variety of techniques including sprigging, stamping, painting and printing. Whether you prefer bold patterns or subtle textures, you’ll have to the tools and guidance to make something truly unique.

By the end of the workshop, you’ll have a beautiful handmade planter- perfect for your favourite
plant or as a thoughtful gift. The planters will be taken back to my studio to be glazed and fired – this process can take up to three weeks. The pots will then be returned to The Horton where you will be able to collect your masterpiece.

All equipment will be provided; however, students may wish to bring an apron as clay can be very mucky.
