Poetry and Music with Audrey Arden-Jones

Featuring internationally acclaimed performers and works from different eras, this inspiring concert promises a delightful lunchtime of reflection, beauty and artistic expression.
Audrey Arden-Jones will be reading poems accompanied by Dr Fabricio Mattos who is a classical guitarist and Lucas Jordan, a flautist and composer. Both these musicians are international world-wide stars.
Audrey Ardern-Jones has been commended and has won various prizes in many international poetry competitions. She has been long-listed in the Poetry Society Competition. She is the founder member of The Poetry & Music Ensemble in 1984 & reignited it in 2013 with the two current musicians. Her debut collection ‘Doing the Rounds’ was published in 2019 and her second collection Time in Pleats and Folds was published in August 2024, both collections published by Indigo Dreams Publishing.
Fabricio Mattos is a classical guitarist and researcher in music performance. He has been performing regularly as a soloist and chamber musician in five continents. He has launched many recordings, played numerous concert tours worldwide, and won many international prizes such as the acclaimed ‘Julian Bream Award’. Mattos founded Worldwide Guitar Connections in 2011 and continues to perform internationally. He is the creative director of many collaborations with musicians. He is the first Latin-American and the first guitarist awarded a Doctorate from the Royal Academy in 2024.
Lucas Jordan is a prize-winning flautist and composer. He has performed in Europe and the Americas collaborating closely with international musicians and other artists. As a composer Lucas has had performances of his works all over Europe, Asia and America and composed music for feature and short films. As a producer and sound engineer, he has worked across all musical genres with recurring sessions at Abbey Road Studios in London. He studied for his Masters at the Royal Academy of Music in London.
