Try something new. Come along and create your own unique and calming work of art in pastels.
What is Pastel Nagomi Art?
Currently very popular as an art movement within Asia, the pastel based art form “Nagomi” translates to harmony. Pastel Nagomi Art is a form of healing art founded in Japan. It is a simple yet therapeutic way of painting using pastels and our fingers to create a gentle, soft and heart-warming art form through simple yet unique techniques that everyone can enjoy from, regardless of whether you know art or not.
This is an experiential session for anyone looking to get a taster for Pastel Nagomi Art and come away with the basic skills and techniques – as well as your own beautiful art pieces.
Participants will be guided through the workshop by artist Cherie Crafty (@cherie_crafty) who is a certified Pastel Nagomi Art advanced instructor. Cherie is passionate about sharing art for therapeutic well-being and cultural appreciation. From Hong Kong and based in the UK, Cherie is also certified in Noir Art, Flower of Crystals and Pasteriasho (Pastel Art with Japanese style calligraphy).
