Lampshade Making Workshop
Saturday 8th February, 10am – 1pm
Learn how to make a drum lampshade – no sewing or previous experience required.
On this relaxed 3 hour workshop you will make a lampshade that is 30cm in diameter and 21cm tall, this can be used as either a table lamp or a ceiling pendant.
Please bring with you:
- Fabric
You will need to provide your own fabric that measures a minimum of 110amx30cm. Light to medium weight fabric is recommended, either a cotton, poly cotton or a linen/cotton mix. Avoid anything stretchy. You can used striped and checked patterns but they will require more patience. - Scissors
If you own fabric scissors please bring them – if not please don’t worry we can provide these.
Meet the Tutor:
You may have met Jo Jones at The Horton’s Maker’s Markets where she sells collage art made with recycled materials. Before moving in to collages, Jo ran a small lampshade making business, selling bespoke shades to customers across the UK and running workshops.
