A pioneer of Congolese soukous music, Kanda Bongo Man revolutionised the world music scene in the 1980s with his infectious rhythms, vibrant guitar solos, and joyful performances. He is most famous for structural changes he implemented to soukous music with mesmerizing guitar solos that gave birth to the famous” KWASA KWASA” dance.
Championed by John Peel and BBC Radio 1 in the late 80s, Kanda played a key role in introducing African and world music to the mainstream. Now with a huge and loyal fan base, his music still receives regular airplay.
Kanda’s music has always been driven by optimism and happiness. His exhilarating performances are exciting and energetic yet deeply rooted in the Congolese tradition.

Kasai Masai’s music reflects their journey from the rural to the urban world. They mix the infectious dance grooves of Soukous, traditional Congolese folkloric music, and of course their own contemporary style and Kasai Masai magic.
Written in Swahili, Lingala and Kimongo, Kasai Masai’s lyrics portray the cultural diversity of Congo where more than four hundred languages are spoken.
