COMMUNAL FABRIC ART
Saturday 20th June, 10.30am – 1.30pm
Enjoy collaboratively painting, writing, drawing, sewing, or knitting on found fabrics discovered in Horton Chapel before its renovation.
This activity is led by artist Veronica Revuelta Garrido as part of national Refugee Week – a UK-wide arts and cultural festival that celebrates the creativity and resilience of people seeking sanctuary.
The theme of Refugee Week this year is Courage. Each piece of work will be inspired by this theme, with a focus on connection, shared creativity, collective memory, group collaboration and healing. Each group will decide the design.
You will be given the chance to work, explore, reflect and share your pieces throughout the duration of the session.
This workshop is open to all and no art or craft experience is necessary.
