Alcohol Inks Workshop
Thursday 29th January, 10:30am – 1pm
Come and explore the exciting medium of alcohol ink; fairly unknown in the UK, it has endless possibilities and is great fun to experiment with.
Please note – don’t wear your best outfit.
You shouldn’t get any ink on your clothes but if you do it’s difficult to completely remove.
You’re welcome to bring an apron if you wish or latex gloves if you prefer to keep your fingers clean.
We will be using small amounts of Isopropyl, which does have an odour, but the mezzanine studio will be ventilated.
Tracey Jane Cooper creates uplifting, contemporary art from her studio in central Reigate, Surrey. She is inspired by nature’s colour and patterns, which is evident in her work. As well as painting with acrylic, Tracey Jane has developed a passion for working with alcohol ink. Often working without brushes and mainly a straw, she creates fluid shapes which have many intricate layers, giving the appearance of a delicate, chiffon-like quality.
She says: “The vibrancy of the highly pigmented ink and the way it moves and creates different tones when it mixes with the alcohol is quite mesmerising to see.”
Tickets:£58
Running Time:2 and a half hours
Age Rating: 16+
Tracey will be running another Alcohol Inks Workshop in March.
