A BUSY MIND: An Exhibition of Works by Sarah Simonds-Gooding
Tuesday 15th July – Friday 25th July
Meet the Artist – Saturday 19th July, 12.30pm to 4.30pm.
This exhibition by mixed media artist Sarah Simonds-Gooding is based around her constant battle with her busy brain.
The pattern and order is a way to try and make sense of the muddle that is often real life. She works in a methodical way, producing doodles, sketches or patterns on a daily basis as an ongoing art diary. The images are a reflection of memories, feelings and imagination, drawn from a state of mind rather than a specific location or reality. The miniature scale of the individual pieces invites the viewer to move inwards, the gaze is encouraged to slow down.
Visitors can get involved creating their own version of Sarah’s artwork, moving around disjoined miniature pieces depicting patterns, statements and feelings – or create their own.
Sarah has a background in graphic design which very much influences a style of art. She was one of three winners of The Horton Summer Exhibition 2024 and the space to hold this solo exhibition was awarded as a prize.
Most artworks are for sale.
