Looking for a fun, creative summer activity to do with your children? Join us at The Horton for a hands-on morning of exploration and art, perfect for kids and parents to enjoy together.
As part of our summer programme, families will get to explore our beautiful garden, search for inspiration, and completely reimagine our surroundings. Together, we will transform familiar spaces into spectacular fantasy worlds!
What We Will Do Together
- Explore The Horton Garden: We will wander through the garden, re-imagining the significant spaces and features we have around us.

Create a fantasy map: Use drawing, painting, and the natural materials you collected to bring your unique adventure map to life.
This workshop is a fantastic way to encourage imaginative play and close observation between parents and children.
Important Info: This workshop takes place outdoors in the garden, please remember to bring a hat, sunscreen, and a water bottle.
A day of exploration of the garden, building a puzzle together, creation, and sharing.

Age Rating: Children age 6-11 with parent(s) or carers.
