The Eclectics Art Exhibition
Tuesday 6 May – Saturday 17 May
Featuring works of experimental mixed media artist Rue Stanley and eight artists from Surrey.
All art will be for sale with prices starting from £5 to less than £500.
Rue Stanley, known for her surreal and quirky acrylic mixed media creations, has curated this exhibition, bringing together an eclectic mix of artistic styles and perspectives. Stanley’s work merges various media to create pieces that are both thought-provoking and visually intriguing. Rue will be at The Horton every day.
Joining Stanley are eight popular local artists, each bringing their own distinctive styles to the exhibition:
- Lynn Toulson creates inspiring portraits and contemporary local landscapes.
- Dale Sheen, a unique pen & ink artist specialising in detailed fantasy works.
- Judit Matthews, an award-winning local illustrator, well known in Surrey.
- Andrew Poder, a talented local sculptor creating imaginative works in natural materials.
- Emma Champion specialises in cameraless photography. Offering viewers a fresh and intriguing approach to photographic art.
- Sue Sheen, a contemporary abstract artist whose vibrant and evocative pieces explore the depths of colour, form, and emotion.
- Sophie Knight-Crow, a talented local artist working in mixed media.
- Kate Berry creates sensitive figurative work in a variety of media. This is her first exhibition.
Artists will be at the venue every day. You will be able to ask them about their working practices, inspirations and what keeps them motivated to create.
All work purchased during the exhibition can be taken home immediately.
