Rocky Horror Picture Show (15)
Friday 23 June, 8:30pm
Let’s do the Timewarp…
Get ready to enjoy a screening of the cult classic Rocky Horror Picture Show in The Horton’s Performance Space. Dressing up not compulsory but very much encouraged – and those in costume pay less and have more fun.
In this unique musical, sweethearts Brad (Barry Bostwick) and Janet (Susan Sarandon), stuck with a flat tire during a storm, discover the eerie mansion of Dr. Frank-N-Furter (Tim Curry), a transvestite scientist. As their innocence is lost, Brad and Janet meet a houseful of wild characters, including a rocking biker (Meat Loaf) and a creepy butler (Richard O’Brien). Through elaborate dances and rock songs, Frank-N-Furter unveils his latest creation: a muscular man named “Rocky.”
The bar will be open all night and drinks can be taken into the screening. There will be a short interval half-way through the film.
Singing and dancing through-out the film is very much part of the evening. Enjoy numbers from ‘The Timewarp’ and ‘Sweet Transvestite’, to ‘Whatever Happened To Saturday Night?’ and ‘Science Fiction Double Feature’.
So take that jump to the left and a step to the right and get ready to have the flashback night of your life!
