Portrait Drawing Workshop with artist Georgia Kitty Harris

Saturday 15 July , 10am to 1pm

Learn the principles and techniques of how to capture a likeness, with artist Georgia
Kitty Harris.

Georgia’s own practice is focused on portraiture and drawing. She has created an incredible collection of faces from found photographs and commissions. Many of her patient portraits from Epsom Hospital’s the turn of the twentieth century are included in The Horton’s permanent exhibition – reproduced from the originals portrayed in graphite.

In this introductory workshop, Georgia will show participants how to draw
from photographs, recreating the moment that photograph was taken.

Suitable for beginners or those who wish to improve. All materials will be provided but participants are welcome to bring along favourite pencils.

The workshop will run from 10am -1:30pm including a break.

A printmaker and illustrator, Georgia studied Fine Art at Kingston and has an MA in Printmaking from the Royal College of Art.
