Comedy at The Horton

Friday 2nd February, 8pm

Beat those winter blues, with a night of laughter at The Horton Comedy Club. This month’s fun and merriment is provided by Howard Read, Jessie Nixon, Daman Bamrah and headlined by the musical comedy genius of Christian Reilly.

Christian Reilly
‘His stand-up is witty and heaving with punchlines…will win over all but the hardest hearts and minds.’ Chortle

‘This genuine, trendy, confident comedian has a natural talent for risky jokes, song and quips which you can’t help laughing at! If you get the chance to see Reilly live, do so. He is not to be missed!’ Funny.co.uk

At the age of 15, Christian Reilly joined a band to get laid. The Salvation Army had different ideas…

As former integral part of the Perrier award-winning show Otis Lee Crenshaw and the Black Liars, with comic/songster Rich Hall, Christian’s career has taken him around the world three times. On his way, he received accolades at international festivals and numerous network TV credits in the USA, Australia, New Zealand and Britain.

Christian’s comic songs, improvisations, sharp wit and youthful energy have delighted audiences wherever he performs.

Howard Read
“Genius.” Radio Times

“Incredibly, achingly funny.” Daily Mail

Howard Read is a comic, writer, animator and actor, in that order. He is best known for being one half (and the other half), of the Big Howard, Little Howard, the world’s first human cartoon double-act. He is also an acclaimed stand-up comic, writer, author, illustrator and animator.

As a Stand up Howard Read is brilliantly off the wall. Totally silly, songs and jokes and stupidness. The man is a baffoon of the highest order. And in this business that is a good thing.

Jessie Nixon
‘She doesn’t remind me of anyone I’ve seen before, which is a good sign. And she makes me laugh. ’Bruce Desseau, Beyond The Joke

Jessie’s credits include tour support for Fern Brady, Alfie Brown, and Lou Sanders.

She has an impressive roster of achievements under her belt as third runner up in the Funny Women Stage Awards 2022 as well as BBC New Comedian of the Year Regional Finalist 2021, Leicester Mercury Comedian of the year Nominee 2021, and more.

Between her effervescent, winning comedy, and her growing list of accolades, Nixon is an act not to be missed.

Daman Bamrah
Daman Bamrah is one of the most exciting and unique comic voices to emerge from the London circuit.A British-Sikh performer with raw wit, likability and heart, the in-demand Daman is known for his topical writing, acute observations and imaginative storytelling. His blend of carefully crafted jokes along with his signature charm has lead to his supporting some of the biggest names in the industry including Ria Lina, Kae Kurd and Mo Gilligan.
