Bryony and Edd, founders of Circus Theatre Company Hikapee are back at The Horton back for a special weekend of workshops, sharing their Aerial Circus skills.
Local company Hikapee have performed two shows at The Horton, The Elf Factory in 2021 and Moonfall in 2022.
The Workshop
This aerial workshop for adults is aimed at beginners who fancy giving silks and trapeze a go. We aren’t expecting elite athletes, anyone who is a little active will be absolutely fine- you’ll be amazed at what you can get your bodies and minds to do in just one session.
This is an intimate workshop with only 6 places, as we want everyone to feel they have plenty of teacher support and time on the equipment. The workshop will be split in two, so everyone will have a chance to learn both Trapeze and Silks. Equipment will be shared.
Aged 16+ only. This is an active workshop, participants need to be medically fit. Not suitable for expectant mothers.
The Tutors
Bryony and Edd have both taught theatre and aerial circus extensively for over 10 years, including in top London Circus Schools and have performed across the World. They set up their own Theatre Company, Hikapee, in 2014. Hikapee tour to theatre spaces, outdoor festivals, village halls, schools and were part of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations in 2022, parading in front of Buckingham Palace.
