A Celebration of English Wine Fundraiser – Tasting Evening
Friday 24th October, 7:30pm
Spend an evening discovering the high quality of English wines at The Horton’s summer tasting evening – and help us to raise money for plants in The Horton Gardens.
Led by local expert wine educator, Graham Cox, you will taste a range of southern counties’ wines, starting with the excellent Gusbourne Blanc de Blancs 2019 Sparkling, while the informal nature of the tasting will enable you to discuss your favourites with friends and tap into Graham’s knowledge.
However you enjoy your wine, we aim to send you home with a desire to try more of the wines which are made on your doorstep.
Once we have explored the extent to which English Sparklers rival Champagne, over a generous glass of Gusbourne, we will taste five quality still wines, finishing with the classy Gusbourne Guinevere Chardonnay 2022 and Beare Green Winery Pinot Noir Clone 777 2023.
Pairing snacks are included.
All funds raised after costs will go towards developing and maintaining The Horton Gardens. The Horton is a registered charity.
Please note:
The event will take place seated at tables of eight in the performance space. You will be allocated to a table. Friends who wish to guarantee being able to sit together must make a single booking under one name online, on the telephone or in-person at the box office.
Please leave the car at home to make the most of this event. Please note, attendees for this event must be 18+. Those lucky enough to look under 25 will need to provide I.D.
Meet the Tutor
Graham Cox is General Manager at West London Wine School, having previously headed up the UK sector at the Wine & Spirit Education Trust.
Having spent 30+ years in the drinks trade, Graham’s mission is to help you to increase their enjoyment and appreciation of wine – and to broaden your horizons.
